The Company was established in 1992 by
Mr. Paul Robins. It was named East Coast Wood Recycling. He manufactured
wood products and sold it wholesale only. In 1995, Paul was joined
by Mr. Robbie Urbine, whose background was in retail sales. In
1996 they opened their first retail site, in Powhatan. 1998
brought the site on West Broad Street, followed by the Hull Street site
in 1999. The following year (2000) they added the blower truck
division, for installing mulch and compost. It was this year that
East Coast Wood Recycling merged with Bill Stinson, Owner of Grind-All,
giving us two manufacturing sites and lots of storage area and growth
capacity. In
2001 we changed the name of the Marketing and Retail sites to YARD
WORKS.

With the controlled growth, we plan to
add one service or site per year. With the next sites in
Mechanicsville and Chester, thus encircling Richmond.
